Relevance. All over the world, dental implantation is one of the modern trends, which is actively becoming a developing field of dental surgery and orthopedics. Dental implantation is the restoration of the integrity of teeth by introducing artificial materials. Finding ways to increase the efficiency of dental care and treatment of patients with dental defects is the main focus on the choice of modern technologies and materials for dentures. Dental implantation is a predictable and widely used procedure in modern dentistry, but a number of factors can negatively affect the functioning and duration of use of the implant. Periodontal pathogens can provoke peri-implantitis disease, so the study of means of prevention and treatment of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis is an urgent problem that requires comprehensive study. Purpose. On the basis of scientific and clinical material, to analyze the features of the prevention and treatment of peri- implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. Materials and methods. The review of the leading studies was based on the identification in the PubMed search engine for biomedical research, as well as in the free access Google Scholar, of scientific publications devoted to the study of the specifics and features of the prevention and treatment of periimplant mucositis and periimplantitis. To achieve this goal, research methods were used: analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, systematization of domestic and foreign scientific literature on this issue. Research results. Dental dental implantation is currently one of the most dynamic branches of clinical dentistry, which can significantly improve the quality of life of patients both by restoring the main function of the jaw system and by correcting facial aesthetics, correcting a number of other functions related to the patient's body. Conclusion. Based on the analysis of scientific, theoretical and clinical materials, it was found that peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis, as a fact of impaired adaptation of the body to the implant, are a serious challenge for orthopedic and surgical specialists. For effective dental implantation, it is necessary to further study the mechanisms of implant adaptation, reduce the impact of risk factors, and carry out early diagnosis with clinical observation and X-ray assessment. Etiology issues, The pathogenesis, prevention and treatment of peri-implant mucositis and peri- implantitis is relevant and requires further study.
